Greetings!
I come to you with a (long!!!) overdue update. Where have I been? Well, life offered me a sabbatical from writing by plunging me into a fairly wild ride that involved both losses and gains that resulted into a whiplash of emotions which I will simply describe as chaotic – I won’t fill in the details, but grief, joy, despair, elation, intense busy-ness, procrastination, and who knows what else came into a three-year ball of swirl that ice cream mixes could only aspire to. Suffice to say it was a series of tough hauls, but the Lord has been there every step of the way. And not only did He get me though it all, I came out with a heart rate, blood pressure, etc. that the doctors envy. Sometimes you have to walk through the fire to know just how comforting He can be.
But though I have been sidetracked more than I would have liked, I have been writing, and I have completed about 60 – 70% of the first review draft of Angels, which continues the story of Jack Mathews and his team about a month after the events of The Metal Within. David Triplett, the artist who did the fantastic cover art of my first novel, is already converting my stick figures into real art for the cover of this project, and I am super excited to announce that Wonder has agreed to do the music for the trailer. If you’ve never heard her sing, you’re missing out. I can honestly say that I myself can’t wait to see what the two of them come up with!
I’d better go – writing about writing is not the same as writing, and I am truly grateful to be able to get back to it. So until next time,
Enjoy the Ride!!!
